The typical client is becoming more complex, including those who try to incorporate multiple entities with hopes to drive significant tax benefits through unique credits and tax opportunities across their entire personal and entity-related portfolio. This course explores advanced strategies to maximize tax credits, strategically manage gains and losses, and implement holistic tax planning. Learn to identify and apply entity-related credits, optimize depreciation elections, and develop integrated personal and business strategies to deliver significant tax savings for clients. By the end of this session, you’ll have the tools to conduct comprehensive cross-entity tax reviews and offer proactive recommendations for sustained financial benefits. 

Objectives
Upon completion of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify entity-related tax credits to apply at the ideal time to offset income in other entities    

  • Identify gain and loss strategies, including properly timed depreciation elections, taking gains and losses into account across all entities    

  • Outline personal and business strategies that a client can easily manage to drive tax savings in the current and future years    

  • Holistically review the entire cross-entity tax planning engagement to identity unique tax savings and future actions to monitor or recommend
